This is a BMW Cyclonic oil/air separator recently installed on my Jetta TDI engine. Hopefully this will help to eliminate oil vapor from coming through the turbo, and from accumulating in my intercooler. I made a modification to the system by adding a small 1/8″ bleed line from the bottom of the intercooler to actively remove any accumulated oil that may get past the turbo oil seals. I won’t have to deal with a runaway engine ruining my day! Oil/Air separator unit can be ordered fron ECS tuning(part number: 11151705237) for around $27.00 I paid $36.00 at Autohaus AZ. Cloth covered 3/4″ diameter hose can be purchased at NAPA auto parts.
